Have you ever felt like politicians are just full of it? Like no matter what they say, it’s just another lie? Well, you’re not alone. We’re here to talk about the biggest liars in politics and what we can do about it. We’re talking about Joe Biden and Donald Trump, two of the biggest names in the game. And guess what? They’re lying to you.

They're Lying to You. Here's What to Do About It. img 7868

The Lies We Hear

Let’s start with Biden. He says crime is at an all-time high. Really? The truth is, while some cities saw a rise in crime in 2022, it’s actually been going down. The FBI reported a 6% decrease in violent crimes in 2023. So, why does Biden keep saying crime is skyrocketing? It’s simple: to scare you. He wants you to think he’s the only one who can fix it.

Now, Trump. Remember when he claimed he had the biggest audience ever at his inauguration? Spoiler alert: he didn’t. There were clear photos showing smaller crowds compared to past inaugurations. But he kept repeating it, hoping people would believe it. This is called the Illusory Truth Effect. If you hear a lie enough times, you start to think it’s true.

The Tricks They Use

Politicians like Biden and Trump use tricks to mess with your head. They repeat lies over and over until you start believing them. They use your fears and hopes against you. It’s all part of their game to keep you under their control.

One of the biggest tricks is called “preferred information.” This is when you hear something that matches what you already believe. Your brain skips the fact-checking and just lets it in. For example, if you think immigration is a problem, you’ll easily believe Biden when he says illegal border crossings are at an all-time high, even if it’s not true.

Why It Matters

These lies aren’t just annoying—they’re dangerous. They shape how we see the world and how we vote. When politicians lie, they manipulate our fears and hopes. They make us anxious and stressed, even when there’s no reason to be.

Take the recent claims about Biden funding both the Israeli army and Hamas. It sounds crazy, right? But some people believe it because it fits their view of Biden as a bad leader. In reality, it’s not true, but the damage is done. The lie is out there, and it sticks in people’s minds.

What You Can Do

So, what can we do about it? Here are some tips to fight back against the lies:

  1. Check the Facts: Don’t just believe what you hear. Look it up. There are plenty of fact-checking websites that can help you find the truth.
  2. Think Critically: Just because something matches your beliefs doesn’t mean it’s true. Take a step back and ask yourself if it really makes sense.
  3. Stay Informed: Keep up with reliable news sources. Don’t rely on just one. Get different perspectives to see the bigger picture.
  4. Talk About It: Discuss these issues with friends and family. Spread the truth and help others see through the lies.

We’re fed up with the political BS. It’s time to call out the lies and demand better from our leaders. Biden and Trump aren’t the only ones, but they’re big examples of how politicians try to fool us. By staying informed and questioning what we hear, we can make smarter choices and hold our leaders accountable.

They’re lying to you. But now, you know what to do about it. Let’s stand up for the truth and stop letting politicians play us for fools.

Here are ten lies attributed to Joe Biden that have been fact-checked and proven false:

1. “The crime rate in the United States is rising everywhere.”

Fact: Crime rates have varied across different regions, with some areas experiencing decreases. The overall crime rate is not universally rising.

2. “Illegal border crossings are at an all-time high.”

Fact: While there have been fluctuations in illegal border crossings, the claim of an all-time high is misleading and not supported by official data from various time periods.

3. “We’ve done more than any administration in history to secure the border.”

Fact: This statement is often disputed by comparisons to other administrations that have also implemented significant border security measures.

4. “The economy is stronger than ever.”

Fact: The economy has faced significant challenges, including inflation and supply chain issues. The claim that it is “stronger than ever” does not reflect the complexities and struggles many Americans face.

5. “I never discussed my son Hunter’s business dealings.”

Fact: Evidence, including emails and witness testimony, suggests that Biden did have knowledge of his son’s business activities.

6. “There was no inflation under my administration.”

Fact: Inflation has been a significant issue during Biden’s administration, affecting various sectors of the economy.

7. “The withdrawal from Afghanistan was a complete success.”

Fact: The withdrawal faced widespread criticism for its execution, leading to chaos and the tragic loss of lives.

8. “I never said we should defund the police.”

Fact: While Biden himself may not have used the exact phrase, he has expressed support for reallocating police funding in certain contexts, which has been interpreted as supporting the “defund the police” movement.

9. “The COVID-19 pandemic is over.”

Fact: While the situation has improved, the pandemic continues to affect people worldwide, and many health experts caution against declaring it over prematurely.

10. “I was arrested in South Africa trying to see Nelson Mandela.”

Fact: Biden has told this story on several occasions, but there is no evidence to support the claim that he was arrested in South Africa.

These examples illustrate instances where Biden’s statements have been fact-checked and found to be inaccurate or misleading.
